Students decide the focus of their community activity, which begins from a point of personal interest, skill or knowledge. The course and assessment plan are individually negotiated with the student.<\/p>\n<p>Students may complete up to 60 credits of Community Studies in the following areas;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Arts and the Community<\/li>\n<li>Communication and the Community<\/li>\n<li>Foods and the Community<\/li>\n<li>Health, Recreation, and the Community<\/li>\n<li>Science, Technology, and the Community<\/li>\n<li>Work and the Community<span class=\"\" style=\"display:block;clear:both;height: 0px;padding-top: 10px;border-top-width:0px;border-bottom-width:0px;\"><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Assessment:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students demonstrate evidence of their learning through two types of assessment:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Community Activity Folio (70%), which includes\n<ul>\n<li>Contract of work<\/li>\n<li>Evidence to demonstrate participation in Community Activity<\/li>\n<li>Presentation of Community Activity (styles and audiences are flexible and designed to suit the individual student)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Reflection (30% externally assessed))<span class=\"\" style=\"display:block;clear:both;height: 0px;padding-top: 10px;border-top-width:0px;border-bottom-width:0px;\"><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Subject Cost:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Nil (expect where a student chooses a Community Activity that may incur some personal expenses)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Stage 2 Community Studies A Level: Stage 2 SACE Credits: 20 Credits Length:\u00a02 Semesters Note: Community Studies A contributes to the completion of your SACE, it is not a Tertiary Admission Subject and does not contribute to your ATAR.
