Individual students can gain credit for Self-Directed Community Learning activities that are not formally accredited by the SACE Board. Examples of this type of learning include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2013 creating media productions (e.g. films, websites) outside school<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2013 performing in sport at an elite level or officiating at sporting events<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2013 planning and coordinating community events<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2013 taking a leadership role in community groups<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2013 taking a leadership role in the workplace<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2013 taking responsibility for the care of an older adult or person with a disability<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2013 teaching others specialised skills (e.g. dance).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Please note:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1. Self-Directed Community Learning credits are not to be selected in lieu of subjects<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2. Self-Directed Community Learning does not fulfil the compulsory SACE requirements<\/p>\n\n\n\n
3. Self-Directed Community Learning does not provide pathways to Stage 2 subjects from Stage 1<\/p>\n\n\n\n
