Examples of this type of learning include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>creating media productions (e.g. films, websites) outside school<\/li><li>performing in sport at an elite level or officiating at sporting events<\/li><li>planning and coordinating community events<\/li><li>taking a leadership role in community groups<\/li><li>taking a leadership role in the workplace<\/li><li>taking responsibility for the care of an older adult or person with a disability<\/li><li>teaching others specialised skills (e.g. dance).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Please note:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1.\u00a0Self-Directed Community Learning credits are not to be selected in lieu of subjects<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Self-Directed Community Learning does not fulfil the compulsory SACE requirements<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3.\u00a0Self-Directed Community Learning does not provide pathways to Stage 2 subjects from Stage 1<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students need to submit an&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sace.sa.edu.au\/documents\/652891\/086ce40c-c472-4be8-9d5c-eac9bcdcbfa2\">application form<\/a>&nbsp;and attend an interview to have their self-directed community learning recognised as part of their SACE. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>If you are interested please contact the Head of Senior School.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Individual students can gain credit for Self-Directed Community Learning activities that are not formally accredited by the SACE Board.
