It is designed for students who want to develop skills to become a strong advocate and mentor for others. The subject prepares students to become peer leaders so they can facilitate activities and take on a mentor role with Year 7 students through their transition to high school. They will work with Year 7 Home Group teachers to deliver the Year 7 Pastoral Care Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students will be given opportunities to work with others as part of a team to lead activities that enhance engagement, wellbeing and connectedness for Year 7 students and develop their own capabilities. This will also develop students\u2019 understanding of their identities.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Assessment:<\/strong> Students\u2019 performance will be determined according to the Stage 1 Exploring Identities and Futures performance standards, as outlined by the SACE Board. Grades A to E will be used for reporting purposes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Students must achieve a C grade or better to complete the compulsory EIF requirement.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Assessment Type 1: Exploring your past, present and future (50%)<\/li><li>Folio of tasks demonstrating student understanding of who they are and who they might want to be<\/li><li>Review\/reflection of their identities<\/li><li>Assessment Type 2: Putting your capabilities into action (50%)<\/li><li>Folio of planning and action relating to Peer Support<\/li><li>Review\/reflection of the semester<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Special Requirements:<\/strong> Students will be required to attend two training days at the end of this year in preparation for Year 7 transition,\u00a0and their integration into high school in the following year.
