By emphasising evidence-based procedures (i.e. observation, experimentation and experience) the subject allows students to develop useful skills in analytical and critical thinking and in making inferences.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Topics&nbsp;<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Psychology of the Individual<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Psychological Health and Wellbeing<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Organisational Psychology<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Social Influence<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Psychology of Learning<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Assessment<\/b>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students\u2019 performance will be determined according to the subject\u2019s Performance Standards, as outlined by the SACE Board. Grades A+ to E- will be used for reporting purposes.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Investigations Folio 30%&nbsp;<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At least one psychological investigation that must include a deconstruction of a problem and design of a psychological investigation<\/span>.<\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One investigation with a focus on science as a human endeavour.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Skills and Applications Tasks 40%&nbsp;<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students complete at least three skills and applications tasks, including at least one skills and applications task from each of the non-examined topics:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Psychology of the individual<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Psychological Health and Wellbeing<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Organisational Psychology<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><b>External Assessment 30%&nbsp;<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Online Examination (2 hour external examination in November) assessing the following topics:<\/span> <ul><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Social Influence<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Psychology of Learning<\/span> <\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Level: Stage 2 SACE Credits: 20 credits Length: Full Year Recommended background: Any Stage 1 Science at a C grade or better.
