The subject continues the development of students\u2019 movement skills and physical activity awareness and also develops an understanding of the factors that affect community health and wellbeing.<\/p>\n<p><b>Content:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All Year 10 students undertake one compulsory semester of Health and Physical Education. The subject continues the development of students\u2019 movement skills and physical activity awareness and also develops an understanding of the factors that affect community health and wellbeing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students will develop these attributes through studying the following topics:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Understanding Fitness<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Group Dynamics<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Healthy Lifestyles \u2013 Diet, Exercise, Sleep<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Relationships and Sexual Health<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Positive Mental Health Strategies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Relationships &amp; Sexual Health unit is based on the SHINE SA program and aims to improve the students\u2019 ability to develop healthy relationships and make well informed and safe decisions in the future.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Assessment:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students\u2019 performance will be determined according to the subject\u2019s Achievement Standards as outlined in the framework of the Australian Curriculum. Grades A to E will be used for reporting purposes.
