They collect a range of evidence and apply their understanding of movement concepts to evaluate aspects of their own or others\u2019 physical activity and implement strategies to improve their performance and\/or participation. The course uses sports and physical activity as a vehicle to develop understanding of key topics.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students will:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participate in team sports and collect evidence to analyse the interplay of energy systems<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Collect evidence to identify an area of improvement in a sport, and developing and implementing plans and programs to see improvement<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Consider skill acquisition concepts and factors that affect learning such as practice and feedback when participating in physical activity<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participate in a team sport and analyse the quality of movement concepts and strategies<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Collaborate with others to prepare for and participate in a sporting tournament, taking on coaching roles and collecting and evaluating evidence around participation, performance, collaboration and communication\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Use a variety of technology and pen and paper tools to collect and critically analyse data<span class=\"\" style=\"display:block;clear:both;height: 0px;padding-top: 10px;border-top-width:0px;border-bottom-width:0px;\"><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Assessment<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students\u2019 performance will be determined according to the subject\u2019s Performance Standards, as outlined by the SACE Board. Grades A+ to E- will be used for reporting purposes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Practical skills are not assessed.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Students will provide evidence of their learning through four assessments. They will undertake:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2x Diagnostics tasks (30%)<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Energy systems<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Movement strategies analysis<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1x Improvement Analysis task (40%)<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Skill or fitness factor improvement journey<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1x Group Dynamics task (30% \u2013 externally assessed)<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Coaching<span class=\"\" style=\"display:block;clear:both;height: 0px;padding-top: 10px;border-top-width:0px;border-bottom-width:0px;\"><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Special Requirements:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Unley High School PE uniform must be worn during all practical lessons.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Level: Stage 2 SACE Credits: 20 credits Length: Full Year Students can choose Stage 2 PE OR Stage 2 Sport, Fitness and Recreation, but not both.
