They consider the role of Health and Wellbeing in various contexts and explore ways of promoting positive health outcomes for individuals, communities and a global society.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Health and Wellbeing is influenced by diverse social and cultural attitudes, beliefs and practices. An awareness and analysis of the health and wellbeing status of individuals, communities and global societies incorporates health determinants, inequities, barriers and strategies. Student agency is promoted through providing opportunities to make responsible choices and decisions. Students explore and develop skills as agents and advocates for change and consider moral and ethical perspectives.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Health and Wellbeing addresses the following concepts:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Health Literacy<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Health Determinants<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Social Equality<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Health Promotion<span class=\"\" style=\"display:block;clear:both;height: 0px;padding-top: 20px;border-top-width:0px;border-bottom-width:0px;\"><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Assessment:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students\u2019 performance will be determined according to the subject\u2019s Performance Standards, as outlined by the SACE Board.
