The main focus is developing the student\u2019s entrepreneurship through the SharkTank E-School nationally accredited program. Students will be immersed in using customer focussed design thinking processes and business planning models to identify, ideate, prototype and pitch business and social enterprise opportunities. They will develop an awareness of different business concepts including ownership, finance, digital and emerging technologies, communication and intellectual property. This course aims to develop an entrepreneurial and innovation focussed mindset in students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Assessment:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students\u2019 performance will be determined according to the subject\u2019s Performance Standards, as outlined by the SACE Board. Grades A to E will be used for reporting purposes. Students understanding and skills will be assessed in a variety of tasks that may include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Assessment Type 1:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Business Skills: Idea Proposal (25%)<\/li><li>Business Skills: Value Proposition and Testing (25%)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Assessment Type 2:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Pitch (2 minutes) (25%)<\/li><li>Business model infographic (25%)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Leads to:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/curric.uhs.sa.edu.au\/index.php\/stage-2-business-innovation\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"5299\">Stage 2 Business Innovation<\/a>. <\/strong>Alternatively, students may choose<strong>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/curric.uhs.sa.edu.au\/index.php\/stage-2-modern-history\/\">Stage 2 Modern History<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/curric.uhs.sa.edu.au\/index.php\/stage-2-society-and-culture\/\">Stage 2 Society and Culture<\/a>&nbsp;or&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/curric.uhs.sa.edu.au\/index.php\/stage-2-legal-studies\/\">Stage 2 Legal Studies<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Level:&nbsp;Stage 1 SACE Credits:&nbsp;10 credits Length:&nbsp;One Semester Recommended background:\u00a0Completion of Year 10 History and\/or HASS elective Content: Stage 1 Business Innovation will enable students to develop skills and knowledge that will enable them to engage in creating a modern business.
