This will include students learning how social, political, economic, environmental, historical and cultural factors affect societies and how people function and communicate across cultural groups.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Assessment:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students\u2019 performance will be determined according to the subject\u2019s Performance Standards, as outlined by the SACE Board. Grades A+ to E- will be used for reporting purposes. Students understanding and skills will be assessed in a variety of tasks that may include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>three folio tasks (50%) that explore the impacts of technology on youth culture across generations, social ethics and the impact of globalisation on a national and international level.<\/li>\n<li>two interaction and collaborative tasks (20%) into contemporary challenges for youth culture and social ethics and contemporary issues of importance to young people.<\/li>\n<li>one major investigation (30%) into a contemporary social or cultural issue of interest to students.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Level: Stage 2 SACE Credits: 20 credits Length: Full Year Recommended background: Satisfactory completion of Stage 1 Society and Culture Content: In this course, students further develop skills and use various methods of investigating and analysing contemporary social issues.
