They will learn to join these materials through welding processes and mechanical fixings such as rivets.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students will also develop their skills in creating jewellery. They will further their knowledge of working with brass, copper and nickel silver, and will work with materials as both sheet and wire.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students will undertake a small range of set projects, and will design a majority of their projects working through the design process.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Items manufactured over the course may include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Table centre piece<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wall hanging<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jewellery set<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some costs may be incurred if students wish to vary projects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Assessment:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students\u2019 performance will be determined according to the subject\u2019s Achievement Standards as outlined in the framework of the Australian Curriculum.
