They will use contemporary and traditional furniture construction techniques, and may use CNC technology in their project, such as laser cutting or plasma cutting.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Their design development will be presented through a folio, inclusive of a brief, product analysis and an analysis of the impact of technological process on individuals and the environment. Students will communicate their design ideas using a variety of methods including technical drawings using traditional methods, as well as Computer Aided Design drawing software.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Assessment:<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students\u2019 performance will be determined according to the subject\u2019s Performance Standards, as outlined by the SACE Board. Grades A+ to E- will be used for reporting purposes.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>School-based Assessment 70%<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This includes:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Specialised Skills Tasks 20%<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Design, Process and Product 50%<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><b>External Assessment Resource Study 30%<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students complete a Folio which contains documentation of their investigation and planning for their product.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Special Requirements: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This course may be offered after school from 3.30 \u2013 6.30pm on a Monday or Tuesday.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Subject fees: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">$100.
