These strategies include pattern recognition, abstraction, and algorithm design.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Focus area 2<\/strong>:\u00a0<strong>Design and programming<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students analyse a problem, and design, write the code for, test, and implement a solution.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Focus area 3<\/strong>:<strong>\u00a0Data analytics<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students analyse data sets in order to understand a problem, test a hypothesis, and draw conclusions from which to make decisions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Focus area 4<\/strong>:\u00a0<strong>Iterative project development<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students scope problems, plan a project, clarify project features, and develop and evaluate appropriate code.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Assessment:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students\u2019 performance will be determined according to the subject\u2019s Performance Standards, as outlined by the SACE Board. Grades A+ to E- will be used for reporting purposes.<\/p>\n<p>The following assessment types enable students to demonstrate their learning in Stage 2 Information Technology:<\/p>\n<p><strong>School-based Assessment 70%<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Assessment Type 1: Project Skills (50%)<br \/>Assessment Type 2: Collaborative Project (20%)<\/p>\n<p>Assessment Type 3: Individual Digital Solution (<strong>External Assessment 30%)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students will be provided an Adobe Design Suite software subscription on their personal device for the duration of this subject.<\/p>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Level:\u00a0Stage 2 SACE Credits:\u00a020 credits Length: Full Year Recommended background: Successful completion of Stage 1 Digital Technologies A and\/or Stage 1 Digital Technologies B, at B grade or better.
