The focus is on increasing skill development for food preparation, nutrition. Students will gain an understanding of farm to fork, family meals,\u00a0 meal kits and food security to enhance their food preparation and nutrition knowledge.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Work includes the extension of research skills, practical application, conserving resources through collaborative and independent learning exercises.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Practicals may include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gourmet pizzas<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Penang chicken curry<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chicken strips with sweet potato fries<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lemon meringue pie<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cajun spiced chicken burgers<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lasagne<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><span class=\"\" style=\"display:block;clear:both;height: 0px;padding-top: 10px;border-top-width:0px;border-bottom-width:0px;\"><\/span>Assessment:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students\u2019 performance will be determined according to the subject\u2019s Achievement Standards as outlined in the framework of the Australian Curriculum.
