{"id":7859,"date":"2026-06-29T10:53:58","date_gmt":"2026-06-29T01:23:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/curric.uhs.sa.edu.au\/?page_id=7859"},"modified":"2026-06-29T10:53:58","modified_gmt":"2026-06-29T01:23:58","slug":"year-7-8-sciences-fbbp","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/curric.uhs.sa.edu.au\/index.php\/year-7-8-sciences-fbbp\/","title":{"rendered":"YEAR 7 &#038; 8 SCIENCES (FBBP)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Length:<\/strong> Full year<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This subject is part of the French Bilingual\/Binational Program and is taught English and in French.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prerequisite:<\/strong> Students must have been accepted into the program to study this subject and have age -appropriate\u00a0 knowledge of Science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Year 7\u00a0 &amp; 8 Science\u00a0 (FBBP) program is based on concepts identified in the Australian Curriculum and aims to develop students\u2019 knowledge, skills and understandings as described in the achievement standard for years 7 and 8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Topics include:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Chemical Science<\/li><li>Physical Science<\/li><li>Biological Science<\/li><li>Earth and Space Science<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Assessment:<\/strong> Students\u2019 work will be assessed against the Australian Curriculum. Grades A to E will be used for reporting purposes. There will be a minimum of two different assessment tasks per term.
