Stage 2 Drama offers an exciting opportunity to experience theatre as a performer, director, filmmaker, designer, and creative collaborator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You&#8217;ll work with industry professionals through workshops, incursions, and excursions, gaining insight into the world of live theatre and the creative industries. By exploring a range of dramatic styles and conventions, you&#8217;ll discover how professional artists bring stories to life and apply these techniques to your own work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A major highlight of the course is the whole-class production, where you can choose to shine on stage or take on an essential behind-the-scenes role. Working in an authentic theatre environment, you&#8217;ll experience the excitement and responsibility of creating a production for a live audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whether you&#8217;re considering a future in the arts or want a subject that challenges you creatively and practically, Stage 2 Drama will help you grow as a confident, reflective, and skilled theatre-maker while creating unforgettable performance experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Internal Assessment:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Assessment 1: Group Production (40%)<\/em><em><br><\/em>Students collaborate under teacher guidance to create and perform a dramatic work, applying the dramatic process in ensemble roles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Evidence: Each student presents up to 15 minutes of recorded work demonstrating their creativity, analysis, and development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Assessment 2: Evaluation and Creativity (30%)<\/em><em><br><\/em>Students complete two tasks or combine them into one, presented as an oral\/multimodal piece (max 12 minutes) or written response (max 2000 words).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>External Assessment:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Assessment 3: Creative Presentation (30%)<\/em><em><br><\/em>In small groups, students produce a creative dramatic presentation, such as a live performance, film, design project, workshop, or masterclass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Learning Portfolio: Individually, students submit a portfolio showcasing their learning in oral, visual, multimodal, or written form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Additional Fees: <\/strong>$50<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1590\" height=\"1034\" src=\"https:\/\/curric.uhs.sa.edu.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Screenshot-2026-06-17-at-12.11.58\u202fpm.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7438\"\/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SACE Credits: 20 credits Length: Full Year\u00a0 \u2018Drama builds the life skills you need to lead, create, and connect.\u2019 Ready to take your passion for performance, storytelling, and creativity to the next level?
