Content:
Digital Technology enables students to develop problem solving skills through design, implementation and evaluation of a range of digital solutions. Students will have opportunities to explore a range of robotics technology such as VEX IQ. They will then use programming languages similar to Scratch and Blockly.
Students will have access to combine digital technology software and equipment such as CAD, CNC plasma, Laser Cutters and 3D printing with traditional and contemporary materials to create physical products.
Projects may include:
- Radio controlled Jouster
- Coding a Vex robot to do a variety of challenges.
Assessment:
Students’ performance will be determined according to the subject’s Achievement Standards as outlined in the framework of the Australian Curriculum. Grades A to E will be used for reporting purposes.
Practical: 70%
Written: 30%
