Content:
Students will develop performance and stagecraft skills through the study of different theatrical styles. They will study:
- Improvisation
- Melodrama
- Performance Techniques
- Excerpts from plays
- Monologue
- Theatre Design
- Technical Theatre
- Text and performance analysis
Assessment:
Student performance will be determined according to the Achievement Standards as outlined in the framework of the Australian Curriculum. Grades A to E will be used for reporting purposes.
Assessment tasks include:
- Participation in performances
- The development of performance skills
- Written and verbal responses to performances
- Portfolios
