Content:
Students develop the knowledge, skills and understandings required to explore and analyse influences and make informed decisions regarding Health and Wellbeing. They consider the role of Health and Wellbeing in various contexts and explore ways of promoting positive health outcomes for individuals, communities and a global society.
Health and Wellbeing is influenced by diverse social and cultural attitudes, beliefs and practices. An awareness and analysis of the health and wellbeing status of individuals, communities and global societies incorporates health determinants, inequities, barriers and strategies. Student agency is promoted through providing opportunities to make responsible choices and decisions. Students explore and develop skills as agents and advocates for change and consider moral and ethical perspectives.

Assessment:
Students’ performance will be determined according to the subject’s Performance Standards, as outlined by the SACE Board. Grades A+ to E- will be used for reporting purposes.
