Recommended background: At least 1 semester of Year 9 Drama
Content:
Students will develop knowledge and understanding of various theatre practitioner roles which support a production. These include:
- Lighting
- Sound
- Design of costume, set and props
- Publicity
Assessment:
Student performance will be determined according to the Achievement Standards as outlined in the framework of the Australian Curriculum. Grades A to E will be used for reporting purposes.
Assessment tasks include:
- Designing a lighting scheme
- Developing a soundscape
- Designing costumes
- Designing sets
- Publicity portfolio
- Critical reflection
- Producing a negotiated practical personal project/ folio
