Content:
This course develops skills learned in year 7 Drama and includes:
- The elements of Drama – vocal expression, characterisation, movement
- Improvisation
- Script interpretation
- Audience skills
- Features of theatres and the stage
- Critical analysis
- Comedy
- Ancient Greek Theatre
Students undertake reflective writing on class work and critical writing on the work of others using theatre terminology.
Assessment:
Student performance will be determined according to the subject Achievement Standards as outlined in the framework of the Australian Curriculum. Grades A to E will be used for reporting purposes.
Assessment tasks include:
- Performances
- Peer assessment
- Critical responses
- Reflective reports
