Students use computational thinking skills and strategies to analyse relationships in data sets, apply programming and program-design skills, and use a digital system to transform data into information. These strategies include deconstructing problems into logical sets of sequential or iterative parts, using tools that show dependencies and flow of sequence between subparts.

Students develop programming skills and use Industry Standard software (Adobe Animate/Adobe Dreamweaver) to create digital solutions.

The subject consists of the following focus areas:

Focus area 1: Programming
Focus area 2: Data analytics

Assessment:

Students’ performance will be determined according to the subject’s Performance Standards, as outlined by the SACE Board. Grades A to E will be used for reporting purposes.

Tasks include:

Project Skills – 70%
Digital Solutions – 30%
