SACE Credits: 10 credits

LENGTH: 1 Semester

Recommended background: Year 10 Metalwork and/or Year 10 Art Metalwork preferred but not essential.

Content:

Through this course students will develop the skills required to design and construct a product, or series of products using metal as the main material.

They will engage in the design process, presented through a folio, to develop concepts for their major product. They will communicate their designs through technical drawings using traditional methods, as well as Computer Aided Design drawing software.

Students may elect to undertake this course with a focus on Metalwork or Art Metalwork.
